Rallying Against Automakers

In Sacramento, CA, several of California’s leading scientists, health and environmental advocates rallied outside the Sacramento offices of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers (AAM), blasting the auto industry lobbying group for standing in the way of the state’s efforts to pass more stringent greenhouse gas regulations. Advocates for increased vehicle fuel efficiency and improved air quality stood under a giant balloon banner reading, “Auto Alliance: Driving Global Warming One Lawsuit At A Time.”

After the rally, several activists came together and walked into the lobbying the offices of the AAM with a global warming gift basket.
